Who Are We?
P3 Tennessee was born in Pulaski, Tennessee in the heart of a community member that saw a need and set to work. The soul of P3 Tennessee is our community, and the work that we do will always be rooted in love for the people of Giles County and Tennessee.
We are a progressive grassroots collective focused on organizing, educating, and empowering our community towards a more equitable and just future for all.
So what does that mean?
Organizing
We recognize that community is essential and forms the foundation of human existence. Organizing in a way that provides people with a sense of safety, fellowship, and purpose is one of our top priorities. We believe that strong connections among our neighbors help to grow a healthy community.
Organizing may look like gathering folks for a potluck dinner to share in joy and camaraderie with like-minded friends.
It may also look like calling on our members to convene at the courthouse to speak out about a local data center proposal.
Educating
Education is liberating, and we believe that all people deserve access to it. We hope to strengthen our community by providing easy access to educational resources and opportunities.
Empowering
By organizing and educating our community, we hope to empower them to grow and make change. We recognize that there are many variables in life that prevent people from feeling empowered (i.e. systemic racism, poverty) and are dedicated to working against those systems and for the people navigating them.
